Refunds, Plans and Taxes
Between you and Renaissance ML LLC. To ask for a refund, write to contact@renaissanceml.com from your account's email address. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you where you live.
Credits
Credits pay for what you make on Renaissance. They are ready the moment you pay, and by paying you ask us to start at once. They roll over and don't expire while your account is open, including after a plan ends. They have no cash value and can't be transferred. A run that fails costs nothing: its credits come back on their own.
Refunds on credits
Within 14 days of any top-up or monthly payment we refund the unused part of it. Nothing used: the full amount. Partly used: the same share of what you paid, so if a quarter of the credits are gone, three quarters of the payment comes back. The credits refunded leave your balance. After 14 days payments are final. A chargeback or lost dispute takes back the credits of that payment, and the balance can go below zero until it is repaid.
Monthly plans
A plan renews each month until you cancel, in Subscription or in billing. Cancelling stops the next payment: your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, with no partial refund, and your credits stay. You can renew before that date. The first month is 30% off for anyone who has never held a plan, once; a refund returns what you actually paid.
Changing plans
Moving up starts today. You pay the difference for the rest of the month, working from what you actually paid, and get the matching share of the extra credits at once; the new price starts at your next renewal, on the same date. Moving down starts at your next renewal: nothing is charged or refunded, and you keep your plan and every credit until then. You can undo a move down before that date.
Catalog pieces and commissions
Pieces are made to order. If no workshop can take your order we refund you in full. Otherwise you can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of paying, while work hasn't started; once it has, a piece or a commission deposit isn't refundable, because it has bought materials and a bench slot. If a piece arrives damaged or isn't what was agreed, tell us within 7 days with photos and we will repair it, replace it or refund it.
Taxes
Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax. Where we have to collect sales tax, VAT or a similar tax, we show it at checkout before you pay. Any other tax your purchase owes where you live, such as use tax or import duty, is yours to pay.
